It’s a heartbeat.
We celebrate everyone behind our love of romance. The authors putting our hearts through it. Narrators who turn a single spoken line into our entire personality. Artists and artisans that give our favorite stories a life off the page, bookstores who feed our beautifully unreasonable reading habits, and the readers endless sleepless nights.
We want to give all those amazing people time together. Time to ask an author about the scene you’re still recovering from. To meet the narrator whose voice has kept you company through traffic, laundry, and “just one more chapter” lie. To stumble across a book you didn’t know you needed or a piece of art you’ll happily rearrange a shelf for.
Our signing tables make introductions to longtime favorites and authors you may be meeting for the first time, while the panels give those conversations room to grow. And our parties allow everyone a chance to unwind. After all, choosing your next fiction flame is exhausting.
We also know walking into a room full of strangers takes a little courage. So does sharing a book you poured yourself into. We want a first-time attendee to find an easy opening into a conversation, a debut author to feel proud of their place at the table, and someone arriving alone to feel comfortable pulling up a chair.
Hospitality lives in those details. They matter to us.
A little heart goes beyond the page.
Compassion has a place here, too. For our 2027 event, $5 from every ticket will go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We’re proud to support its work. If you’d like to give beyond your ticket or join us in supporting from afar, you can donate directly.
We’re also supporting the SPCA of Texas, because some love stories begin with muddy paws and a suspiciously quiet living room.
On the first day, bring toys, treats, or supplies for animals awaiting adoption. An SPCA representative will be on-site to collect donations, and you can also contribute directly from afar. For the four-legged crowd, we’re particularly invested in the happily ever after.
We hope you leave with a book you can’t wait to open, a memory you’ll keep, and someone to text when you get to the good part.
